A new sponsorship and a Bayliner 215 Flight Series Deck Boat keep champion wakeboarder Garrett Coleman on his game.
While most middle schoolers might be preoccupied with more traditional extracurricular activities, Garrett Coleman is thinking about his next competition. And prepping for it will be made easier with his brand-new Bayliner 215 Flight Series Deck Boat; part of a sponsorship agreement he recently finalized.
Set-up for wakeboarding, Garrett’s 215 Deck Boat is perfectly suited for his competitive needs with special Flight Series graphics, a ballast system, a wakeboard tower, board racks, extended swim platform and Mercury Marine’s all-new 4.5L (250 hp) engine with Bravo 3 drive.
“We are all excited about the association with Bayliner,” Garrett’s father, Michael Coleman, said. “I think a lot of people in our local water-sports community will be impressed with the boat when they see it docked out back. I know Garrett is excited.”
Garrett’s excitement makes perfect sense when you consider that many champion wakeboarders got their start behind a Bayliner, including Hyperlite Wakeboards’ VP of Marketing and wakeboarding legend Greg Nelson. Nelson was one of the first to sign Coleman, who now represents Hyperlite Wakeboards during competition.
Of the historic partnership between Bayliner and Coleman, Nelson says, “I think it’s the first time a sterndrive boat manufacturer has ever sponsored a wakeboarder, let alone an up-and-coming rider and his family. At Hyperlite, we feel this is important for the sport, as so many families get into boating and watersports in a Bayliner.”
Bayliner looks forward to seeing Garrett prepare to compete at events like the WWA National Championships and the WWA World Championships this coming summer. He will definitely be a young man to watch as his career progresses. Stay tuned!
